Mrs. Chang's Class

Who is Mrs. Chang?

Well, let me see if I can answer that question. I grew up right here in Roanoke Rapids and went to school in the Roanoke Rapids Graded School system. While attending high school, I decided I wanted to one day become a teacher. I have always loved children and wanted to have a part in helping children to grow and learn.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and completed my student teaching right here at Belmont. This will be my fifth year teaching 1^st grade at Belmont and I have experience as a substitute teacher with our school system.

When I am not teaching, I spend my time reading and enjoying time spent with my husband and two children.

I can’t wait to meet all of my new students and watch them grow and learn during their 1^st grade school year. I am really looking forward to another fun–filled and educational year!

Husband: Chris (works at Halifax Regional Meical Center as a Network Engineer)

Children: Two boys Hunter (21, student at ECU) and Jackson (9, a 5th grader here at Belmont)
